Hal Windows v2.0...HRx64...HapRuntime For x64 Multicore Systems...
HRx64 by Amanda Interactive Inc
Download HRx64: HRx64.zip
Version Number: 1.0
Version Release Date: 05/23/10
Last Update: none

HapRuntime-x64: This is the first free available Haptek Runtime utility program made
by us. It has no GUI window or extra fancy stuff so it's easy to use and gets the main
job done fairly well, run Haptek or other things in one core.

HRx64 Main Function:
Launches & runs anything, sets affinity to one core on x64. Makes anything or Haptek
related programs more compatible with x64 multicore systems.

Requirements:
Hal Windows, AutoIt, or Ultra Hal software install not required. A Haptek install is also
not even required because HRx64 can be used for any type of program that runs better
with the process affinity set to one core on x64.

Instructions:
HRx64 is x64 MultiCore Compatible for Haptek 3D software or most any kind of old program
that runs like crap on x64. After unzipping there's nothing to install because it works from
any hard drive or flash drive location.

This is how it works. Create a new shortcut to anything such as a htr Haptek character file.
Then rename the new shortcut to HRx64 and then place the new shortcut in the HRx64 folder.
Then create a new shortcut to the HRx64.exe file, rename it anything and then place the new shortcut anywhere, desktop sounds good. Then click on the desktop shortcut and the HRx64 program will launch and run the Haptek character or any old program within one core of a
multicore system.

Now if you don't create a new shortcut to a Haptek character or an old program and you just
run HRx64.exe as a standalone program it will run and open an empty HapPlayer AX window
with it's HapAXPlayer.exe process running in just one core.

The HRx64.exe file is limited to launching and running only one shortcut contained within its
folder. So if you want to run more than one thing with HRx64 you just need to copy the entire
HRx64 folder/file and paste it anywhere and then finally do another shortcut setup again. We
do have other similar programs with GUI windows but HRx64 is really cool because it doesn't
even a GUI window to accomplish it's main task. So have fun making copies for as many
things you need to run in one core.

Additional Info:
The HRx64 program is Windows 7 & x64 compatible so that a user with a multicore system
can run anything with Haptek characters and not have the usual Haptek related problems
and issues. Some x64 systems may also require that the HRx64 program file, HRx64.exe,
be configured with the Privilege Level set to run the program as an administrator and/or the Compatibility Mode set with the XP SP3 setting. It's easy to configure, right click directly
on the HRx64.exe file then select Properties and then select the Compatibility tab to make
the necessary changes.

It's recommended that you don't change anything at first and just see how things work.
If the Haptek character seems to be running bad then do the following:

1) Set the Privilege Level to run as an administrator and then see how things work.

2) If things still run bad then try setting the Compatibility Mode to XP SP3.

Quick Tip: Set affinity to one for the entire desktop shell environment by changing
the explorer.exe process to run in only one core and then any program you run
afterwards will use only one core too.

PS - Uninstall by sending the HRx64 file & folder to the Recycle Bin.
And don't forget to also delete any extra shortcuts that you don't
need anymore.
